Who does not thank for little will not thank for much

"Who does not thank for little will not thank for much." ~ Estonian Proverb

How often throughout the day is your mind filled with worry, doubt, frustration, resentment, and complaints? What about at night when it's time to rest, do you count your problems instead of sheep? If so, try counting your blessings instead~ not just the big ones, but the little blessings, too.

All too often, we use every last bit of our mental energy toward worrying about our problems or what we don't have instead of focusing on what we do have. It's no wonder we feel drained half of the time! Even a plant needs sunshine in order to grow! When we focus on what we don't have, that negative energy will persist and by being grateful for even the smallest things, gratitude will transform our perceptions.

So, if you're looking for a reprieve... relax your mind. Start a gratitude journal (if you haven't already!). And, if the journal you do have is covered in dust, it's time to brush it off! Learn how to appreciate the blessings in your life by putting them on paper. Visualize your gratitude. By applying a little optimism to your life you will surely be put on your path to having more gratitude in your attitude!
