I have been using Straight Talk since February of 2010. I'm glad I switched.
Straight Talk is definitely the way to go. I picked up the Samsung R41C phone that has a slide out keyboard and it's really nice. You just have to make sure your area has coverage. If you go to their website, they have a nationwide coverage map. The straight talk service rides on both GSM and CDMA enabled towers so you should have a sufficient amount of coverage wherever you are.
So, if you have a bit of time go to Wal-mart and check out their affordable cellphone company by Tracfone called: Straight talk. It has save me a lot since switching to this company. There are no contracts, no surprise bills, or hidden charges.

Straight Talk has some great monthly plans. The “All You Need Plan” meets even the needs of heavy phone users with 1,000 minutes, 1,000 texts and 30 MB of web data. Unlimited Monthly service is only $45, and includes calls, text, picture messaging, and web. 411 calls are included at no extra charge and there are no activation, reactivation, or termination fees.
I have the unlimited $45 package. It’s great. Very basic phone but it's all I need and so cheap! And service has been wonderful. No issues at all!
Straight Talk offers a lot of different phones that run on different networks depending on the phone and what area you are in. Feel Richer with Android as Straight talk offers Android phones! If you plan on getting an android phone from them, make sure you look at the map specifically for android phones on their website because it is NOT the same coverage area as other phones.
With Straight Talk not only can you feel The power of Android but you will also Feel Richer with Android ! Also, I'd definitely recommend you picking up one at Walmart!
