The Kmart's free layaway program gives this same option to shoppers to put selected items in their online catalog on layaway. Between now and ends November 17, 2012, one winner every week will win their remaining balance completely paid off. Just imagine how incredible it would be to win, and have all of those holiday gifts paid off!

There are three ways to enter the said giveaway, it's summarized below.

Layaway Purchase - During the giveaway period, you will have an entry for a layaway purchase that you make in store.
Mail-in Free Method - You can still join the sweepstakes without purchasing anything by simply writing your name, home and email address, phone number and send it to Kmart's Big Layaway Giveaway" Department 589028, P.O Box 5046 Kalamazoo MI, 49003-5046.
Layaway Purchase - If you purchase a layaway online, you will also get an entry for the sweepstakes.

Kmart’s layaway offers many more options for consumers than competitors. It’s available nationwide, all year round, with no product minimums. You can pay online or in store, pay online and pick up in store- and if you want to get something special for someone who’s not local to you, you can still use layaway- items can be picked up in a different store! Best of all, there are no service fees associated with Kmart’s layaway.

When I used layaway programs in the past, it was always a hassle and carried a hefty service fee. I certainly don’t want a layaway program to feel like a credit card, so I am happy that Kmart doesn’t treat it that away.
